Every few weeks someone asks me about partner codes. Same question every time: do they give you free trades or discounted spreads?
Short answer: no. AvaTrade has no commission on forex trades. You pay the spread. That's your trading cost. A linkedin avatrade partner code partner code doesn't touch it.
What 128979 does is unlock the welcome bonus. Extra funds in your account based on how much you put in. That's all it does.
How much do you get?
Put in $1,000, receive $200 bonus.
$2,000 gets you $400.
$5,000-$9,999 earns you $1,000 bonus.
Maximum bonus is $14,000 for deposits above $100,000. Not many traders reach that level.
UK traders funding in pounds start at £160 on £800. Scales up to £11,200 maximum.
Minimum to open an account is $100. But you need $1,000 to qualify for bonus.
The code field isn't obvious
During registration. Once you've filled in your phone number, you'll see small text reading "Have a Partner Code?". Click it. The field expands. Type **128979**.
People overlook it constantly because it's hidden.
If the system rejects it, don't panic. Go ahead and register anyway. Contact support before funding. Ask them to add code 128979. They handle this regularly.
Bonus withdrawal conditions
You need to trade a certain volume.
Roughly 10,000 units traded per $1 bonus. You'd need to trade 2,000,000 units to unlock a $200 bonus. Can take time with smaller position sizes. Happens faster than you'd think if you're active.
Your own money stays yours. Withdraw it whenever you want. Only the bonus has the restriction.
One thing worth knowing: the bonus adds to your available margin even when locked. You can hold larger positions than your deposit alone would allow. Newer traders benefit from that extra cushion.
